LUZULA
Commonly known as Woodrush
Genus of about 80 species of mostly evergreen, tufted, grass-like perennials.
Woodrushes are widely distributed on heaths and moors, in fens and bogs, and in scrub, woodland and mountain grassland throughout temperate regions.
Valued for their shade tolerance.
The most common native L. campestris, Field Woodrush, is found in all types of grassland and cultivated areas such as lawns and golf courses.
