    Early in the year, typically January till end of March, herbaceous plants might be supplied in 9cm pots to ensure timely despatch.
    Deep green leaves and large, frilly flowers 15-20cm (6-8in) across, flecked with carmine-red in the centres. Outer petals are spreading, inner ones crowded and ruffled.
