      Spreading tree, vase shaped at first, maturing to almost semi-weeping. Produces pale pink flowers on long stalks with the emerging leaves. Flowers, 5-6cm (2-2½in) across are in dense clustersof 4-5, have recurved petals and a small bunch of green leafy carpels in the centre

      Suitable for: Deciduous and evergreen trees, and some deciduous shrubs.
      Pruning: Minimal pruning required. Prune wayward or crossing branches to maintain a healthy framework.
