  • Deciduous - ovate-rounded leaves to 11cm (4½in) long with heart shaped bases. Dark-green turning yellow in autumn.
  • White
  • Height - 12m (39ft)
  • Spread - 8m (26ft)
  • Climber - Some of these climbing plants will need trellis or wire supports if grown on walls or fences. Other grow aerial roots and are self-clinging - vigorous climber. Domed corymbs to 25cm (10in) across of fertile and sterile flowers in summer.
  • Hardy - cold winter - Hardy in most places throughout the UK even in severe winters. May not withstand open/exposed sites or central/northern locations. Plant can withstand temperatures down to -15°C (5°F)
  • Full sun - needs plenty of shelter
