    Commonly known as Armenian oak, Pontine oak

    Shrubby or round-headed tree. Stout, reddish shoots

      Aphids, gall wasps, oak wilt, honey fungus, powdery mildew, bracket fungi.

      Northeastern Turkey, Caucasus.

      Obovate or broadly elliptic mid-green leaves to 25cm (10in) long with parallel veins ending in small, pointed teeth turn yellowish brown in autumn
