  • Semi-evergreen - Keeps some of its foliage all year, and will drop some leaves as well. - toothed, glossy leaves 3-13cm (2-5in) long
  • Purple - Shades of purple/mauve/lilac/violet - white throats
  • Height - 1.2m (4ft)
  • Spread - 1.2m (4ft)
  • Medium shrub - Typically grow to around 4-6 feet in height - upright perennial or subshrub with dark stems. Produces closely spaced whorls of 2-4 flowers
  • Half hardy - unheated greenhouse / mild winter - Hardy in coastal and relatively mild parts of the UK except in severe winters and a risk from sudden (early) frosts. May be hardy elsewhere with wall shelter or good micro-climate. Likely to be damaged or killed in cold winters. Plant can withstand temperatures down to -5°C (23°F)
