Collected by French missionary Père Paul Guillaume Farges in 1891. Named after Joseph Decaisne, Belgian botanist (1807-1882). -

Tall ShrubUpright, sparsely-branched shrub with stout, hairless shoots. Produces fruit in cylindrical pods to 10cm (4in) long in autumn.
