April Garden Tour.
FREE FRIENDS OF BURNCOOSE TOUR
I will be hosting a conducted tour on Scented Rhododendrons, commonly known as the Smellies, at 2.30pm on Wednesday 30th April.
There are about 650 species of rhododendrons growing in temperate climates, and the tour will focus on just a few of them. They are all later flowering, suitable for smaller gardens because they do not grow very tall, and very deeply scented because they rely on insects for pollination and these insects can only thrive in late spring or early summer.
The tour (& coffee on arrival from 2.00pm) is entirely free to Friends of Burncoose.
If you would like to come please book a ticket below.
The tour will be limited to the first 25 people who sign up to attend.
Location : Burncoose Nurseries
Please ignore delivery details when placing order, this is an event taking place at Burncoose Nurseries.
If you are not already a 'Friend of Burncoose' please contact the office for details about joining.
