    HOYA

    Commonly known as Wax flower

These popular plants are only available for short times during the year.  We will be stocking, albeit intermittently, Hoya australis, Hoya gracilis, Hoya cuningiana, Hoya lacunosa, Hoya carnosa and Hoya carnosa 'Tricolor'.

Glistening, usually scented, flowers and profuse nectar.

Genus of over 200 species of evergreen, climbing and shrubby perennials, some epiphytic, from coastal bluffs, stream margins, escarpments and rainforest in the warmer regions of Asia, Australia and the Pacific islands

They are characterised by their star-shaped waxy flowers with a central crown or corona.

    H. carnosa is said to be an excellent remover of pollutants in the indoor environment.
