Common Rosemary, Rosmarinus officinalis, has been absorbed into the genus Salvia. Its new identification is Salvia rosmarinus.
From the latin, "dew of the sea" and with a tendency to flower outside its usual season. Well-known cottage garden plant and also used for culinary purposes, herbalism and perfumery. Pest and drought resistant.
Genus of 2 species of evergreen shrubs found in rocky sites, woodland and scrub in the Mediterranean region.
