TETRADIUM
Genus of nine species of deciduous and evergreen woodland trees and shrubs from the Himalayas to eastern and southeastern Asia. They are cultivated for their attractive foliage, flowers and dense clusters of fruit. The bright red seed capsules open to reveal shiny black buckshot-like seeds. An exotic species of which the late flowers attract bees and the berries birds.
