Commonly known as Shrubby germander
Genus of about 250 species of herbaceous perennials and evergreen and deciduous shrubs and subshrubs, found mainly in thickets, woodland, dry, rocky places and mountainous areas worldwide, especially in the Mediterranean region.
The UK native is T. scorodonia, Wood sage, common in woods, grassland, heaths, hedgebanks and roadsides, particularly on dry, calcareous soil.
