VINCA minor 'Illumination'

Commonly known as Lesser periwinkle

Striking selection with irregular yellow leaves edged green. An excellent rock plant

individually £11.00 each, 3+ £9.00 each, 10+ £8.50 each

  • Evergreen - elliptic or lance-shaped leaves to 5cm (2in) long.
  • Blue
  • Height - 10-20cm (4-8in)
  • Spread - indefinite
  • Ground cover - These plants are typically low growing and spread quickly to inhibit weed growth on areas of bare soil - prostrate, mat-forming shrub with long, trailing shoots. Produces flowers 2.5-3cm (1-1¼in) across over a long period.
  • Hardy - very cold winter - Hardy in all of UK and northern Europe. Plant can possibly withstand temperatures down to -20°C (-4°F)
  • Full sun - for best flowering, in soil which retains moisture.
  • Partial shade
  • Additional Features - Pests & Diseases - fungal diseases Phoma blight and rhizoctonia. Rust
