    HYPERICUM

    Commonly known as St. John's wort

    Easily-grown plants in sizes for shrub borders to rock gardens and a marginal aquatic.

    Used throughout the ages by herbalists.

    More than half a dozen natives including H. androsaemum, Sweet amber, the leaves of which were traditionally pressed in family bibles for good fortune.

    Genus of more than 400 species of deciduous, evergreen and semi-evergreen shrubs and trees, annuals and herbaceous perennials occurring worldwide in a broad range of habitats, from woodland and scrub to mountain and cliffs.
