    DORONICUM

    Commonly known as Leopard's bane

    Genus of 40 species of deciduous, rhizomatous or tuberous perennials from woodland, scrub, meadows, heathland and rocky sites in Europe, southwestern Asia, and Siberia.

    In the daisy family and one of the "banes" avoided by animals as poisonous to them.
