    SKIMMIA

Large clusters of flowers, attractive to insects, and some deliciously scented on the males and attractive red or white berries on the females.

Take care when choosing to ensure you have a male for pollination, unless choosing reevesiana which will produce berries.

Genus of about 6 species of monoecious, dioecious, occasionally hermaphrodite evergreen shrubs and trees found in woodland from the Himalayas to southeastern Asia, China and Japan.
