The great majority of the plants offered for sale by Burncoose Nurseries by mail order are pot grown. The term 'Pot Plants' is however more generally used to describe those plants which can be kept indoors for a short period of a few weeks with no ill effect. Few plants will grow away satisfactorily indoors without proper light and most plants need humidity levels far removed from dry centrally heated houses. This list of suggestions indicates those pot plants which should only be taken into the house briefly when in flower so that their fragrance and visual effect can be appreciated. Thereafter they should be returned to the greenhouse or conservatory.
