    Commonly known as Silver ribbon fern, Variegated table fern, White-striped Cretan brake

    • Good to know
      Syn. P. cretica 'Albolineata'. Easier to grow than the species as some clones are half hardy
    • Pests & Diseases
      Scale insects and leaf eelworms under glass. Sooty mould if water settles on fronds

      Europe, Africa, Asia
    • Greenhouse / conservatory
      Not the sort of plants to be grown outside where there are likely to be frosts. These plants need to be grown in a conservatory or cool greenhouse or at least brought inside for the winter
      Under glass use 1 part each of sharp sand, coarse leaf mould and charcoal, and 2 parts of loam-based compost (JI No.2). Add limestone chips. Grow in bright, filtered light with high humidity
