      Introduced into the UK by Robert Fortune in 1843. Daphne-like flowers. Can be grown in a large container and moved to shelter in the colder and wetter months

      Typically grow to around 4-6 feet in height
      Open, rounded shrub with supple shoots. Small flowers are produced in spherical heads 3.5-5cm (1½-2in) across.

      Pruning: Minimal pruning required. Prune wayward or crossing branches to maintain a healthy framework.
      When: When dormant in the late winter/early spring. Some in the summer/autumn to prevent bleeding of sap.
