  • Evergreen - lance-shaped leaves to 2.5cm (1in) long
  • Purple - Shades of purple/mauve/lilac/violet - violet flowers

  • Dwarf shrub - Typically only grows to a maximum of one or two feet in height but there will be some exceptions. - compact, rounded shrub
  • Hardy - average winter - Hardy through most of the UK apart from inland valleys, at altitude and central/northerly locations. May suffer foliage damage and stem dieback in harsh winters in cold gardens. Plant can withstand temperatures down to -10°C (14°F)

  • Additional Features - Good to know - - makes a decorative container plant. Wildlife plant - insects. Requires little pruning. Good for coastal exposure and pollution
