    OENOTHERA

    Commonly known as Evening primrose, Sundrops

    Genus of about 145 species of annuals, biennials and perennials, some with tap roots or fibrous roots and a few with rhizomes or runners.

    They are found mainly in North America with a few from South America, in well-drained, sunny sites, such as mountain slopes although some are from deserts.
