      Introduced into the UK by Robert Fortune in 1843. Daphne-like flowers. Can be grown in a large container and moved to shelter in the colder and wetter months

      Rounded, open shrub with supple shoots and papery bark. Flowers are produced in spherical heads to 5cm (2in) or more across

      Pruning: Minimal pruning required. Prune wayward or crossing branches to maintain a healthy framework.
