      Ultimate size in 20-50 years. Wildlife plant - insects on early flowers. Named after the cockerel in Chaucer's Canterbury Tales. Resistant to fireblight

      Finely scalloped or toothed, glossy, dark-green leaves to 8cm (3in) long, turning red in late autumn.
